Making Money with Avaulte
How much do Artists make on each sale?
Artists receive 60% of the retail sale for each painting. For more information see Section 8.3 in the Artist Terms of Service.
What happens after my paintings are sold?
Once your artwork sells, you will get a text or email from Avaulte with the good news! We will ship packaging materials directly to your studio, and you will receive the shipping label and Certificate of Authenticity by email.
All you need to do is pack up your painting, and it is ready to go! It's simple! Just pack your painting using the materials we send you, and then drop it off at your local USPS or Postal Annex within 2-3 business days. If you need more time, no worries - just let us know, and we'll keep the buyer updated for you!
How soon will I get my payment after a sale?
You'll receive your commission monthly, sent straight to you through PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle - whichever you prefer. For more information, please read Section 9.5 of the Artist Terms of Service.
Representation & Creative Control
How can I exhibit my paintings with other galleries and platforms as an Avaulte artist?
You may exhibit with other galleries or platforms, but paintings shown on Avaulte cannot be displayed elsewhere online or in a physical gallery.
All paintings submitted to Avaulte must be exclusive to www.avaulte.com and your studio. See Section 8.1.3 of the Artist Terms of Service for more details.
Do I still own my artwork when I upload it to Avaulte?
Yes. Uploading your art to Avaulte does not change ownership - you are always the rightful owner of your art.
Artist Essentials
What are the requirements for listing my paintings with Avaulte?
By uploading works to Avaulte, you are stating that it is your work and it is ready to be sold (Section 6.5).
What are the guidelines for listing my paintings on other platforms while it’s on Avaulte?
When you upload a painting to Avaulte, those works of art need to be exclusive to Avaulte’s platform and will not be listed on other e-commerce sites.
If you decide to remove a painting or end your contract, you can always request to take it down. For all the details, check out Sections 6.3 and 8.3 in the Artist Terms of Service.
How does Avaulte handle promotions for my paintings, and what are my rights?
Avaulte creates promotional materials for your paintings to strengthen its visibility across our platform and beyond.
While these materials belong to Avaulte, we use them to support your success!
When your painting[s] sell as a result of Avaulte's promotion, you’ll simply pay the standard commission within 30 days. For more details, see Section 10 of our Artist Terms of Service.
How does Avaulte manage client communications for personalized commission requests?
When you opt into our commission services, Avaulte handles all of the communication with clients for you. By keeping everything within Avaulte, we ensure a seamless experience from start to finish.
Going around Avaulte for direct communication is a no-go and goes against Section 1 of our Commission Services Agreement. For more on this, check out Section 8.5 in our Artist Terms of Service.
What are my tax responsibilities as an Avaulte artist?
To keep things running smoothly, we’ll ask you to fill out a W-9 form once a year.
This simple form just collects your name, address, and taxpayer information—it’s quick and easy, and we’re here to help if you have any questions see Section 12 in the Artist Terms of Service.
